In an attempt to sharpen my skills in the social media realm, I have started a new blog and corresponding twitter account. OrganiKeyUK, with a simple logo designed by yours truly, will be a collection of interesting articles, videos, links, and photos relating to green living and all things organic. UK-style, of course.

Finally, after years of listening to grammar loving friends rave about it, I got around to reading Eats, Shoots & Leaves. It was rather enjoyable, although it didn’t alter my antipathy for the semicolon. It simply is a hideous mark on the page, regardless of its usefulness. I will continue to abuse the comma and utilize more full stops than necessary. Alas.
As someone with an apostrophe in my name, I understand her horror. However, after years of navigating various databases and trying to be visible to form fields online, I know that that the apostrophe must be grudgingly set aside from time to time. Otherwise, I become invisible to searches. Perhaps this is why certain movie titles have dropped the apostrophe.
Also, it was slightly uncomfortable to read a book about punctuation in British English. I am praying that I will develop two modes in order to switch seamlessly from American to British usage. I am terrified of the possible deterioration of my innate sense for proper punctuation. Maybe I should read exclusively in Spanish from now on.

I work in classes from 1st grade to 5th grade, assisting the teacher and students in proper English pronunciation and usage.

Well, the sky looks kind of like the world is ending here in Santa Fe: dark rain clouds partially obscured by massive amounts of dust and pollen picked up by tremendous gusts of wind that threaten to tear off all the tender new leaves from the trees.
However, everything in Cassie World is going well. I am now doing some freelance writing for the special magazine sections of The Santa Fe New Mexican. I will be posting images of my articles and some links soon.
After a five week intensive training course, I am a proud graduate of the Kaplan Teacher Development Program! I am now a qualified Kaplan ACT Test Prep teacher.

There is a Sarah Palin kindred spirit photo rotating through my header images. Please disregard it until I can figure out how to delete it. Attempts thus far have proven unsuccessful.
You will notice the photo, it refuses to wear my logo, the imp!
